World Book Day

World Book Day is an annual event organised by the Government and originally introduced by Tony Blaire back in 1998. The event is in aid of Childrens literacy and aims to encourage Children to read more. That is why most Schools now allow Children to attend on March the 3rd dressed as their favourite character. As a reward for reading, and coming to school dressed up the Child receives a book token redeemable against a book in any UK book shop.
